Achievement, passion, and leadership were celebrated last week at a special awards event in San Francisco. The San Francisco Foundation Community Leadership Awards recognized a diverse group of local people who have contributed to civil rights, social activism, and the arts.  Among the awardees were:

The San Francisco Foundation Community Leadership Awards reconoció a un grupo diverso de gente local que han contribuido a los derechos civiles, al activismo social y al arte. Growing up as a farm worker in a poor family of fifteen, the odds were against Ramón Resa to break out of his bleak reality.
