En abril, el mes dedicado al programa The Big Read del Este de la Bahía, Chabot College pone en escena la obra original “Última”, inspirada por el libro “Bendíceme, Última” de Rodolfo Anaya.
 
“Última” explora al personaje del título, una mujer madura y su vida como curandera, quien es originaria del suroeste. La obra está escrita y es presentada en el estilo de Realismo Mágico, el cual fue dado a conocer por figuras literarias latinoamericanas como Anaya. La obra examina aquellos detalles como la

On April 3, Raul Hernandez appeared before a full house at the San Jose Convention Center in an event that brought tears of joy to many. Raul Hernandez has been recording as a solo artist for approximately fourteen years, after leaving his group Los Tigres Del Norte, a group he co-founded along with some of his family members.

In April, the month dedicated to the East Bay’s The Big Read, Chabot College unveils the original play ‘Ultima’, inspired by the book ‘Bless Me Ultima’ by Rudolfo Anaya.

Ultima explores the title character, an aging woman and her life as a curandera, a folk healer from the Southwest. The play is written and performed in the style of Magical Realism made known by Latin American literary figures including Anaya. It examines such issues as how she came to be a curandera,
