Hispanic in the U.S.


• The Census Bureau recently reported that Hispanics have passed African-Americans as the largest U.S. minority group.

• The Hispanic community is growing at four times the rate of the total U.S. population.

• By the year 2005, one of five residents in the U.S. will be Hispanic. Latest figures estimate the U.S. Hispanic population at 38 million people.


According to the Selig Center for Economic Growth, Hispanic purchasing power grew 29% between 2001and 2003 to $652 billion -- double the pace of the rest of the U.S. population.
