El Distrito Regional de Parques Regionales del Este de la Bahía ha aprobado un Programa Piloto de E-Bike de un año de duración en tres senderos regionales en el Distrito de Parques. El programa durará un año hasta julio de 2018 e incluye planes para llevar a cabo actividades de divulgación sobre los senderos específicos afectados para asegurar que los usuarios sean informados sobre el programa y compartir los senderos con sus compañeros usuarios.

“I have been visiting the East Bay parks for fifteen years, I love them,” says Silvia San Miguel of Oakland. “I visit the parks every week to go hiking or take the dog for a walk. I love to go to the parks to do hiking after work.”

The City of Oakland and the Golden State Warriors hosted a parade and rally on Thursday, June 15 to celebrate the 2017 NBA Champions. Initial estimates indicate one million fans from around the Bay Area attended the festivities.

The parade proceeded north up Broadway before turning right on Grand Avenue, then right on Harrison, left on to 19th Street, then right onto Oak Street before ending outside the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center and along Lake Merritt Boulevard for the rally.
